Hi,

i generated Gerber from Pads Layout 9.5.if i imported the Gerber in CAM Tool like View mate or CAM350.Gerber is not located in origin.Can any please reply for how to fix this issue.

even i set the Justification as Bottom left it is not located in origin point.

Thank you for your reply. Great news.

Can you inform me about the service pack when it is released?

Our VeSys version is attached below.

Hello,

Please contact CAM350 supplier for possible solution. Also you can use ODB++ export and is is a single, intelligent file that is a better format then Gerber.

Does VX1.1 have the ability to create SRP sheets or similar?

We would like the ability to produce SRP pages, as per BoardStaion EE2007.5, in the new toolset.

i use ViewMate all the time with no issues.  Do you have an offset defined on some or all layers?  Attaching photos of the issue may help.

these are different things: ibis defines C_Comp and C_Pk.

C_Comp : "This is the silicon die capacitance and does not account for package capacitance. It is the capacitance seen when  looking from the pad back into the buffer". C_Pk represents the package capacitance.

Check this out: http://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/application-notes/59359416714120559501529785432450718322963858076…

Cin and Cout from the datasheet represent the internal capacitance of an input/output. hope this helps. ibis doesn't define Cin Cout

Gerber output justification is based on the extents of each gerber file, so when you use Bottom Left, it could be different for every layer. The exception is when you use the Offset justification. The offset is based on the Board origin, and it needs to be the same for every layer, including the drill file, in order to align all of the files. It also should be large enough to place all of the gerber files in the positive quadrant.

So when looking at your PCB, zoom out so you can see everything, and place your cursor so it's below and to the left of those extents. That is the minimum offset you need. Round up to whole numbers to make it easier to enter, since you need to do that for every CAM file. So if the cursor is at -1300 mils for X and -2400 mils for Y, use 2000 and 3000 for the offsets.

Ok. I done the import and works very well. How to change the size of the connection bullets like in the picture, tried setup, can not find where.Tried Setup->Settings->Display->Objects

AATK menu not showing up in ExpPCB or DxD after ENV AATK and WDIR are set correctly

I have set up AATK for many users,  it's normally working right after add the two environment variables. But today after set:

AATK=C:\AATK_1234

WDIR=C:\WDIR;C:\AATK_1234;U:\CORP_WDIR;C:\MentorGraphics\EE7.9.5\SDD_HOME\standard

the AATK menu does not show up.

From a command window, run ‘set’ command, it only shows (missing the AATK path):

AATK=C:\AATK_1234

WDIR=C:\WDIR;U:\CORP_WDIR;C:\MentorGraphics\EE7.9.5\SDD_HOME\standard

And I also run regedit, and can see WDIR=C:\WDIR;C:\AATK_1234;U:\CORP_WDIR;C:\MentorGraphics\EE7.9.5\SDD_HOME\standard

under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\Environment

P.S. this two machines have Window 7 64-bit OS with 4 GB RAM.

Thank you for any advice you would provide!

Usually, this is due to a space in the WDIR path line

C:\WDIR; C:\AATK_1234

You can check this out by downloading my favorite shareware RAPIDEE.  WWW RAPIDEE COM

RapidEE takes the hassle out of working with environment variables. To change System variables, you have to right click and run as Administrator.

If all else fails try a reboot.

You can also see from the above example, in VX the traditional WDIR has a new env var for each release and you will need to set each one up with the AATK path.

How to assign power supply nets to planes ?

Hello all,

there are two plane layers in my design. In Xpedition xPCB Layout, I have connected them to GND and 3.3v power supply nets. When I open "Edit Power- Supply Nets " window, it does not show me the planes. My question is how can I assign GND and 3.3v nets to the planes ?. I will attach an image which shows my stackup and Edit Power- Supply Nets  window. Do I really need to assign power supply nets to planes or is it assigned automatically ?

Thank you.

PCA_CPU partition with DC to xDX translation?

$

I just translated a DC schematic to xDx with the VX.1.1. translator.

Some of my resistors are disconnected at one side and they look smaller and are off-grid.

These resistors are related to a "CPA_CPU" partition which the translator created.

This is not a partition which I have normally in my Library.

I can not run forward annotation in xPCB because the used part number is not in the "CPA_CPU" partition.

The errors show up in the PartPkg.log file.

To solve the problem I have to replace the symbols / part numbers with ones from my own library.

Does anybody have seen this also with a DC to xDX translation?

Thanks,

Wim.

Waveform Analyzer Reference Manual

Greetings,

I have been searching through the MentorGraphics documentation looking for the command line commands for the Waveform Analyzer.

The SystemVision Reference Manual has a table with command line commands but its content is limited.

i.e. svviewer <command to be sent to theviewer>..... i would like to know about svviewer's usage and syntax.

I can type svviewer help in the SystemVision command line and list of options show up, but it does not help with the usage for all of the options.

Is there a document that talks about all the command line options for svviewer and other related commands?

Thanks,

JC

I suspect that your system has installed other (older) Mentor Graphics software which has globally configured the licensing system to use an old version of the license libraries. These old versions of the license libraries are incompatible with the newer ones provided with Sourcery CodeBench. The best solution is to use the new license libraries provided with Sourcery CodeBench. To do this you need to unset the environment variables that control the selection of the license library.

Start the Sourcery CodeBench IDE like this on Windows:

"sourcerygxx-ide.exe" --unset MGC_HOME --unset MGLS_HOME

Start the Sourcery CodeBench IDE like this on Linux:

sourcerygxx-ide --unset MGC_HOME --unset MGLS_HOME

Adjust the paths and names to match the target tools you installed.
