DesignReleaseStatus - This is a web service which can be used to change the release level of a design.

Releasing a design is more involved process and includes running DRCs for the design. So if DRC run needs to be mandated for releasing a design then in project preferences one can enable the flag "Enforce DRCs on release of designs". If you do this then you can't use DesignReleaseStatus for moving to a released release level. Note that you can't use Edit Design in the application and change release level to released state.

So in the application tools like Capital Logic you need to use explicit action "Release Design". Similarly you need to use ReleaseDesign Task. Please see the "Release Designs as Task" section in <capital_home>\doc\webservice\WebServiceDevelopment.pdf for more details. Good part is that DRC results will be saved as task attachment and can be retrieved as needed
