Would like to know the answer to this also. I have not played with the integrated flow just yet but plane to be very soon.
I do remember (from Expedition though) that if you did not use proper order of forward vs back annotation yes you could
get out of sync and lose either one direction or the other pending steps. I think Mentor did do something to help with Expedition
but would have to also play with integrated flow in PADS to see what happens. I would think
that if you made changes in layout, and did not back-annotate those changes, then made schematic changes and forward
annotated those that you will lose the ability to now back annotate? Unless Mentor did put some checks & balances in place
to warn you in schematic that there are pending back annotation changes from layout when you try and forward annotate.
Again I think this issue may be resolved with Expedition? Would have assumed it to be similar in PADS?
