Perhaps my Post was not clear but Example 1 was in regards to the fact that it appears the parameters are always. Expecting certain decoration. Perhaps this example will be a little more clear. Lay down a generic device that is 5 pin grids wide. Select it right click> properties and go to the parameters tab. Under Param: top remove corner-TL, corner-TR and two of the decoration so that you are left with the following:
In Logic the device is updated to look like this
Note it treats the corners as if they are blanked, and does not create a hline graphic at the corners, even though Corner-TL and Corner-TR are not in the parameters. When this same device is resize to be 1 pin grid (i.e. only corners exist), the hline is not displayed at all. This is why I asked Question 3, is there anything that defines what a parameter is required to have. If the tool is expecting a top to always have corners, then it will affect if we can use 1 pin grid wide devices, as well as how we build the glyphs.
